Linda B. (Oppman) Sprechman Jacobson. We lost her too soon from cancer. Cherished wife and dearest friend of Harold D. Jacobson (and the late Howard Martin Sprechman). Adored and cherished mother and dearest friend of Sandi R. (Darrin) Sprechman Newman of Buffalo Grove, IL and Marni E. (Brian) Sprechman Cooper of Deerfield, IL. Predeceased by beloved son Edward Allen Sprechman. Special and cherished “Nana” of Hailey Ilana Cooper, Lindsey Rebecca Cooper, and Elexa ‘Lexi’ Skye Newman. Stepmother of Scott A. Jacobson of Woodstock, IL. Beloved daughter-in-law of the late Etta and Max Sprechman of Passaic, NJ. Beloved sister-in-law and dear friend of Bill and Sheila Cooper of Monmouth Beach, NJ and NYC & Hal and Barbara Sprechman of Jackson, NJ. Special Aunt of Lauren and Daniel Sprechman, Karen (Gary) Puma, David Cooper and Kevin Cooper. Dear Great Aunt of Jack Puma. Dear cousin and dear friend of Elsie Karzen, Boca Raton, FL. Daughter of the late Robert and Dolores Oppman of Arlington Heights, IL. Twin sister of Judy (Jim) Hoke of Northbrook, IL. Sister of Michael (Candy) Oppman of Buffalo Grove, IL. Linda always said that her finest accomplishments in life were her beautiful and loving daughters and granddaughters and always gave thanks for being blessed with such wonderful children. After her son Eddie died, Linda devoted her life to causes and a career that enhanced the lives of disabled children. Linda was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother, the best friend of many, a scholar and a published author. She will be greatly missed and lovingly remembered. Thank you for the memories. Linda was the Director of Special Education in Highland Park, IL and a Level I Due Process Hearing Officer for the State of Illinois for nearly 20 years.
